Well I just came back on a two up trip with my wife and man someone gained some weight, every bump or dip I was bottoming out in the rear so my question is what rear shock should I get so I won't bottom out with two up, I have 13 inch stock shocks set all the way up

That happened two up for me with standard shocks. Once I switched to IS shocks no more bottoming out even with the trailer. I'm set on three. I'm around 185lb my wife is 115lb and the trailer adds 20lb tongue weight. That's 320lbs. So if your total with the two of you isint much different I'd say you either have worn out shocks or they aren't IS

I had much the same problem(due to my svelte figure) with regular 12" Progressive shocks for a Tourer. I already had a set of I/S Prog. shocks and tried those but were a bit harsh. My final cure since I ride alone 100% of the time....I changed the springs on the Tourer versions, installing the springs off the I/S version. Problem solved. Set them in the middle and I'm good, still a bit more solid than I like but not as stiff as the I/S and better than the Tourer version with its original springs.

I made my own tool to compress the shocks, it enables me to remove the springs and reinstall others.

Picture of the shock compressor tool I made.

Had issues until I swapped my worn Progressive 440s to new 444s and works great now.
