The hex head seat bolts made me smile...now why would Honda do that ???
I discovered the rear seat and front seat use different size allen wrenches. Both hands occupied, one pressing the seat out of the way to access the bolt and the other using the allen wrench, then stop and go get another allen wrench. WHY???  Made me smile, things like that used to get me angry.
Someone in Japan is laughing at me ;D
If you can't be a good example: be a WARNING!!

I think both seat bolts are the same, 6mm.

The proper hex wrench comes in the tool kit.

-Mike "the proper hex wrench is the whole tool kit  :2funny: ..."

Mine had 6mm in the passenger seat and 8mm in the rider seat. No manual, no tool kit. It will not be removed much and I can access the "storage" compartment thru the side cover.

I replaced mine with standard bolts. Easy to find, just be careful on the length-get the same length as stock bolts as they stick through the fender into the tire area.
Thanks Valker for the length advice, I replaced the rear bolts to match the fronts, all are same now.

I had to call Mike to find out how to remove the seats.

I'll leave this photo of the rear seat for others to see.

Mine are both the same, 6mm.  Perhaps the previous owner changed them out.
Thanks,

Mine are different too.

Thanks Britman, I was going to ask.
Funny, mine were black. You have the Blue/Black bike version and your bolts are stainless/silver? Apparently Honda was not consistent with these.
