Crankcase Breather #2

I need a little clarification on this breather check/drain procedure, please.

Page #56, "Cylinder Head Side Cover". And Page #75.

I quote - "The left cylinder head side cover must be removed to service
the spark plugs and the crankcase breather".

This left bank "Cylinder Head Side Cover" seems to split horizontally,
into two pieces. Of which, the lower piece appears to house the breather.

Are there any oil spillage/gasket replacement concerns of this procedure?

I am familiar with this procedure on the 1520, where fully exposed. But, I
was having a little difficulty understanding the 1832 procedure, where this
part removal is required. As others have stated, I don't expect to encounter
any drainage, but I needed the clarification.

There should be no issues. The cover is kind of like a dummy valve cover. Once removed you should be able to access your spark plugs and the breather tubes. I did this check a year or so ago. Very simple.

Based on my reading, and experiences of others, the check @ my ~4.5K miles probably is useless.
But, I wanted to be sure I understood before proceeding.

Easy job, I checked mine a couple years ago after 4 or 5 years of riding. Drain tube was bone dry.
