I'm wanting to install a set of floorboards with heel/toe shifter on my '01 I/S.
Can anyone advise if the Jersey Bracket will still fit/work?

I think the problem is with a heel toe shifter, not the floorboards.  But it would be better to get his comments on it.

Even with small feet, and the small Cobra drivers boards, it made reaching the OE (small) shifter a problem (even moving up or down on the splines).  But I've always rode on heel toe shifters, so that was going on my interstates no matter what.

Hi,
Ironically, I JUST ordered some new brackets that are specially designed for Floorboards.  These brackets are designed to offset the shifter lever by 2 notches up.  Folks have said that the floorboards usually require the shift lever to be notched up 2 splines to comfortable allow for the toe to slip under the shift lever.  I should have them in stock in about a week.  The design will actually allow for the lever to be set +1 to +3 notches up from OEM setting.

The Heal-Toe Lever usually only has a minor issue with the front loop (that catches the shift lever) slightly hitting the mounting bolt for the Jersey Bracket.  This can be solved by cutting the extreme front loop of the H-T bracket.  I realize this is not what is preferred, but it does work.  We did a few at Taos Inzane.

Let me know if you're interested in the new bracket for the floorboard.

Cheers,
Jersey

Thanks Jersey :D Once I find a set of floorboards I'll be in touch.

Yes, x2. I have a couple bikes that either have or will have floorboards. Will also get a regular bracket in case I want to go back to pegs.

Will you be at Athens InZane?

Yes, the Valkyrie floorboards suck with the stock toe shifter. I am thinking going pegs would at least let my boot toe to get under the shifter to up gears. I was thinking that if the angle of the floorboard could be changed that it would allow a normal human to get toes under.

I have had many bikes but they have all had toe/heal shifters.

Any suggestions???

You can rotate the shifter counterclockwise to accommodate the floorboards.  That's what I was referring to with the the Floorboard version of the Jersey Bracket. It supports rotating the lever between 1 and 3 splines counterclockwise to give more room for the foot.  If interested, shoot me an email: ggatinc@gmail.com

Heel toe shifter is the fix for floorboards (because you never have to get under the shifter again).  But people who have never ridden a heel toe, rarely take to it later on.

But if you don't like heel toe, another fix (besides rotating the small OE shifter a notch or two up or down, which is not much of a fix), is to swap out the OE shifter for a different larger one.

I cannot recall the actual part number, but remember people saying it was the OE shifter for the Honda Blackbird.  (a bit bigger and a bit farther out) (there are posts about it on here)

The shifter Bracket will work if you use the Rattlebars type heel/toe shifter. The Kuryakyn heel/toe shifter wont work because the factory shifter pedal is eliminated when you use the Kury shifter. it has a bar that attaches directly to the shifter rod. Can't post pics or i would show you a picture of my Kury shifter
