I find it odd that Honda abandoned the Valkyrie so early and that the Valkyrie was not more of a success.  I think hanging the Goldwing name on the Valkyrie and the intro price being way too high maybe killed the Valkyrie out of the gate.  There is a hole in the Honda lineup where a power cruiser should be.
Thanks,

hanging the Goldwing name on the Valkyrie

It is a Goldwing, unlike the "real" Valkyrie...

In France, a first in 2014, the Vallk was sold 25,000 $ (21,000 €) and a few months later 21,000 $ (17,700 €), probably too late.

Having the Valkyrie and F6B in the same lineup was a recipe for dismal sales for one of them.

I am pretty sure if more had ridden the Valkyrie there would have been more sales.

I went out and test rode both right away.

I only bought one...

I wanted a quiet, smooth, non fairing, low tech, 4+ cylinder cruiser/tourer.  Unless I missed something, the Valk was the only game in town. Then I had to add the bags and wind screen. Comfort is probably a 7 since I'm not smart enough to change out the bars.  Still love the Valk though. Unfortunate there are not a few more bikes in this category.

For me, it's time for a new bike.
I've looked and looked and looked, nothing comes close 7yrs later.
Honda please bring back the Valkyrie!

It is an awesome bike. I will own another one one day!   The 2016 Wing is the now but I will add another 1800 Valk one day!   If you have one of these bikes keep it dang it!

Bout the only thing that even comes close to interesting me is the new Wing. But not enough to make the switch.
