Interesting event at my new local bar last night

It's a bit of a dive bar but the service is good, the beer is cold and the locals I've met are friendly.

A group of out of town HD riders came in and sat at the long group table.

A couple of males made a beeline for the restroom. And returned to their seats.

One of the kitchen guys was collecting glasses, plates etc when the floor server walked up to him with a small pistol in her hand and told him she'd just found it in the corridor to the restroom. He quickly removed the magazine and made sure there wasn't one in the pipe and field stripped it .

He then took the pieces over to the table and quietly read the riot act to the owner.

What my concern was is that I thought parts only fell off the bikes not the riders.  ;D

I didn't voice this thought to the group.

Probably a good call.  Nose in yer own business and all.   ;)

Dropping your carry piece in the bathroom hallway (and not even being aware your did) is...... not cool.

It's cool as hell to take the recovered pistol apart before returning it to the dufus Fudd.

Perhaps he knows how to put it back together (outside in the parking lot, not in the bar).   :crazy2:

Lots of states, you can't have a carry piece in any bar, or you can but you cannot drink (at all).

A responsible bar owner would have been within his rights to call the police, and give it to them, point to the probable owner(s), and let them return it to the dufus (with or without a lecture, or field sobriety tests, or a breathalyzer, or even a criminal charge).  Or tell him they're going to keep it and run it through the system, and he can come back and pick it up next week, if it clears.

I liked Big AL but then the darskside engulfed him and wrought him into a new way of thinking. Given time he may recover.

The bar does have a no gun sticker on the door. We all know how effective those are.  :D
