On the road.  They are recorded using a Contour HD camera but when you play them on YouTube they come up (for me at least) in 480p.  They should play at 1080p

I watched the first one on the list just enjoying all the dogwoods going by.

I walked in the woods yesterday and took a few pictures. Here's a glob of
flowers off of a tree that I've wished I knew the name of for the last 30
years:

It's only this big...

I love spring  :cooldude:

Mike, I think that flowering plant is a variety of Viburnum.  They are mostly classified as shrubs, but some old ones become more like trees.  And there are many varieties of Viburnum.

I have two Japanese snowball viburnums, and the smell of the blooms may be the finest in all nature (up there with honeysuckle).

My one doublefile viburnum does not have the wonderful smell, but it still looks good.

Ah Choo is right.  I am now blowing big honkin' rolls of oak pollen off my roof, scape and walks daily.  I should wear a mask, but I have grown to dislike masks for some reason.

Sorry for the drift Bill.

Mike, I think that flowering plant is a variety of Viburnum.

I think you are right! There's a million different kinds with vastly different leaves.
On mine, there's these tiny little "leaflets", they're one of the things that
caught my eye about this plant, before I knew about the awesome flowers...

Some of the viburniums I can find pictures of have the little leaves...
Viburnium Prunifolium is one...

Thanks!

Besides variety, I think viburnum leaves get a bit bigger as plants get bigger.

Both my viburnum varieties have beautiful leaves, kinda what you might call succulent;  waxy, verdant greens; more like evergreen type leaves, although they are deciduous and shed late in cold weather.

Serk

You've been having a lot more fun than I have lately!

Youtube will auto adjust the quality based on your Internet speed, it was showing as 1080HD for me...

Never ask a geek 'Why?',just nod your head and slowly back away...
