Well we have been tent camping for many years and loved it. It was time to get off the ground and have some A/C. Been on 5 weekend trips and really enjoying it. No more 2 plus hours setting up & packing up. Now in about 20 minutes we are set up and i have a cold one in my hand.  :cooldude:
Going to miss some weekend rides but when I'm home I will definitely looking for a RTE.

Last 2 pics our from one of our favorites- Fort DeSoto Park.

That does look fun, and beats heck out of a tent.   :cooldude:

I got a snake in my tent once in Boy Scouts, and while it was only a big garter snake, the fact it got down in my sleeping bag with me before discovery, made me distrust tents forever after.

I had felt a cold zipper before, but when I reached down to touch it, it foking wiggled.  Screaming followed.

Many years later backpacking in Sequoia National Park, it was black bears.  They didn't get in the tent, but the fact you could could hear them across a big meadow made sleep difficult.

In summary, screw tents.   ;D

Congrats.  We have been RV'ing for about 15 years and have learned a lot.  Made a lot of mistakes too.  If you are interested in some of our tales and suggestions feel free to call, will PM you the phone number.
