I am about to install this light.
The light come without any note of wattage, ampere consumtion, anything, but I assume they are very low wattage (?)   The only thing I can read on ebay-add is they are made for 12 V.

I plan to connect them to work together with the full light to encrease my visilibility  both daytime and night.




Once i read the wire & switches on the Valk have the capacity for 90 or 100W headlamps. I run a 60 W lamp ( 55 ?)  Does that mean I can connect these LEDs to the wire for the headlamp without reley or anything, and they will just swicth on when I switch the full light on !?

Most led light pull very little. You could hook them into your low beam circuit and only come on when you put the low beam on. Let us know how they do at night.

I bought the 48 LED lights from the same company. I plan to mount them on the upper part of the crash bar and wire them direct. IMHO the current draw is so low it's not an issue.
I'll try to find out just how low.

According to Custom Dynamics (who sells a lot of LEDs) each led in their clusters draws about 26milliamps. So 26x18=468x2=936. So the answer is about 1 amp combined draw for both lamps. I have both Custom Dynamics and Harrison Specialties lights.
They look the same and appear to throw the same amount of light so I think the current draw would be comparable.

It's minus 10 F and 25 inches of snow here, so I am not about to install right now. My bike is at a stock house though
BUT, I'll go there next week to take a look about it and will take pics.

The light are some smaller than original turn signal lamp. The LEDs are also available mixed with amber diodes mixed with clear light, so i guess one could replace original light and get both fog light combines with turnsignal?

I would be very surprised if the light pattern is actually comparable to a proper "fog" light.  The fluted lenses of a fog light make a light pattern with a sharp horizontal cutoff so you light the road, not the fog.  LEDs have a tight (but not sharp) round light pattern, more typical of a spot light than a fog light.

I agree with you. I have only connected it to see the shine today and what you say is my impression too. I'll return on this later when i have it installed.

My reason for purchasing these lamps is not to use them as fog lights, but use them as an addition to my hi light to be more visible ( hopefully) in daylight.  I hope the clear ,white shine will make me more visible. I have been thinking about hi light modulators an other stuff, but I wanted to try this..
