I realized today how valuable this site is. I just replaced two tires and am in the middle of a rear end service. Couldn't have done it without the help from forum members.
Thanks guys.
I bought the beast last year and the PO said all the service was done religiously by the local Honda dealer.
In the process of servicing the rear end, I discovered the thrust washer was not included in the sale! Just not there. Plenty of grease everywhere it needs to be, thank goodness, but no thrust washer. I've learned from reading many posts here that this isn't an uncommon occurrence.
Anyway, if it weren't for this site I'd have reassembled the rear end as it was and off I'd go. So thanks for saving my rear end!

That's what I was hoping, but I double and triple checked. The old grease is cleaned off and I'm ready to put the new grease on and reassemble everything. No washer anywhere.
