Kathy's chemo treatments are kicking the crap out her this time. She is sick the day of and two days after. She starts feeling better on day five. The next 3 days are good then its time for another treatment. She is doing her rowing every morning. Even on the bad days.
Her spirit is good with an occasional "Son-of-a-Bitch" thrown in for good measure.
I had my follow up on Tuesday and after a few tests and consulting with the neurologist they have cleared me from concussion protocol. I am as good as i ever was.
The bike not so much. The guy working on it called to tell me they, stopped adding up parts at $13,000
Some parts are not available and some are just ridiculous price. So now the argument with the insurance company begins. The girl that hit me has only $25000 liability so i may be screwed there too. Just the ambulance ride was $3800. Plus the lawyer gets a third.
I am grateful to be walking and as close to back to what i was before the accident. Of course the discussion with Kathy has been on going. I'm looking at new bikes, she keeps dropping boat catalogs on the coffee table.
Sometimes you only get 2.7 seconds, make it count.

Hope Kathy is able to become more comfortable with her chemo as time goes on...Maybe the injection rate, in which the medicines are injected, was stepped up too much. I remember you saying her time in the chair had decreased, meaning the injection rate was increased.

Good news with your noggin' and the concussion protocol...Hope your quick head movement / dizziness is becoming less and less of an issue Paul.

It doesn't matter if you know the girl that hit you or not Paul, your lawyer will have the best advice for going forward with any case .... You should not be responsible for making ends meet in this scenario.

As far as a bike vs boat conversation....You will have to live with the decision you make, I won't !!
Always riding solo on a bike, as compared to spending time with Kathy on a party barge....

Glad to know that Kathy's spirit is still good, despite the after effects of the chemo treatment. She's amazing! Also glad to know that you're cleared from concussion protocol.  :cooldude:

Tough call on what to do about the bike. I wish I had some words of wisdom to share.  :-\
