Looking for a bright LED 1157 taillight.

Any suggestions? I want something brighter than just an 1157 LED substitute...I have that and it's no brighter than the original. My Bertha has a big butt(see pic below) and I want people to see it before hitting it...preferably to prevent that.

I've replaced the Roadsmith logo on the rear with an LED strip light which is rather bright. Now I want to install something in the two trike body taillights as well. Maybe sometime down the road I'll get around to swapping out the OEM lights on the I/S trunk as well..maybe a winter project if I can get some heat in the garage.

Try this vendor, "super bright LED's.com", they have a wide selection of bright LED's. Try the puck light conversion on your trunk lights. I can send you my original pictures of my conversion. It's the same job BonS copied from me.

If you get red LED 1157's to project through the red lenses, they will be considerably brighter than incandescent 1157's and brighter than white LED 1157's.  (Same thing with amber LED 1156's and 1157's projecting through amber lenses.)

Are those fender lights from a VTX of some sort?

If so...Radiantz may have an LED element which replaces the stock reflector and socket. I have one of theirs in my I/S taillight housing and it's very bright.

John as mentioned the Radiantz are about the brightest.  That said, I installed some flashing LED's in Ruby's trunk  (the board type) to replace the BonS trunk lights that got destroyed in my rear ender.  

These I think we're the ones I used inside the trunk, same brand and style anyway.  I would have to double check that they were 7443 but I'm pretty sure they are.

I also found some little bitty LED wedge lights for the other two smaller trunk lights, but they don't flash.

I also have one LED 1157 flashing brake bulb in her Tourer taillight modded fender brake light.

I can say that having five bright LED brake lights all quickly flashing together four times before going soilid is a real attention getter.  In this heavy tourist traffic I've been known to let off and hit the brakes a time or three when someone is coming up behind me at a given intersection.  I've noticed that they notice, which is good.

Type in flashing 1157 LED brake light in eBay.  You'll get lots of options.  I'll try and find the ones I used...

These aren't the exact 1157s I used but close.  Plug and play.

John, I have no idea on the fender lights. I have the Radiantz replacement in my old bike's taillight and it is bright. I also have a spare somewhere which I might experiment with before moving forward with anything else.

I seem to recall that mod, do your pictures include instructions? I won't be doing the trunk mod right away but would be nice to have all the stuff here ahead of time.

I also put the flashing brake led's in my fender tail/brake light, and they have been working great for over a year now. Especially when they only cost $17. I would bet that your fender lights are 1157 bulbs, so it is only a matter of opening them up and replacing the bulb.

If you look you can find the blade type flashing bulb that works in the trunk, that is next on my list to buy.

You can compare brightness numbers with these https://www.diodedynamics.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=1157; I find they can be brighter than the ones at Super Bright LEDs. Both are located a few miles from me, so easy for me to compare.
