Heading out for the show, looking for a Ruger GP100 chambered in .44 Special, stainless.
I know others have similar interests, good show at the Clubhouse. Range use is a bonus.  Very high dust dirt road so take your beater.

Look for the Ruger GP100 Match Champion chambered in 10 mm too Doug.

I'm not sure whether .44 Spl or 10mm ammo is easier to find.

However, unlike .44 Mag/Spl revolvers, apparently shooting .40 S&W in the 10mm is not reliable.

Jess I've been looking at The Revolver Guys sight for a few years now. Good stuff if you're into wheel guns.

I like smoke wagons.  I like all guns.   :cooldude:

I'm not crazy about black powder though.  Not since I blew myself up with some.   Unlike regular firearms, that black powder stuff is dangerous.    ;D

Jess, I'm a .44 & .45 guy, I'm looking specifically for the Ruger .44 Special, I like them very much, shoots straight, less high pitch crack than my .357, more thunderous boom, less kick and more punch. Very controllable, repeatable accuracy and nice stopping power. I have three .44 Magnums. Ruger Deer Slayer carbine, Henry Lever Action and my Ruger Super RedHawk with plenty of ammo for them. I don't buy ammo, not a factor. I'm set for life in the ammo department for the calibers I still shoot. This one is a GP100 series, already have the GP100 .357, SP100 .357, Security six .357 and Super Red Hawk. I like Ruger wheel guns. The only one I can find new is in Washington State and overpriced even before shipping. We have rural gun shows scheduled now October through January. I will target those, staying away from the city shows which attracts an undesirable element.

I did pick up a nice Damascus blade made by a local knife maker, kind of crude although that's part of the attraction for me. When my wife said, "oh...I like that it has a pretty handle" I knew that was my opportunity. "This ones for you baby" All in all a good day, checked out some dirt roads, found a nice little knife and we found a good place for the best French dip sammich we've ever had.

I get it Doug.  I am also very specific about what calibers I will buy, and don't really want another.  My 4 .44 mags can all shoot specials (though back when I reloaded, I made a pile of .44 mag SWC target loads near to .44 special velocity).

I've eyed 10mm for some time in autos, wheelguns and carbines, but I don't have one. (or any ammo)  I enjoy advising others how to spend their money though.   ;D

Love the Damascus blade.   :cooldude:

Here's my recent toolbox bushcraft knife.  Nothing fancy, but pretty nice for $30.  Made in Ukraine.

I too must have contracted a bug because being a .357 shooter with a pile of ammo already. I just woke up one day and had to have a lever gun in .357. I was focused on either Henry or Marlin and it was the Marlin I found. This one was almost NIB with less than 10 rounds fired. End to end it's 99% perfect with just minor touch marks here and there from being in existence for 41 years. It's a 1980 vintage pre-lock JM branded carbine and it's a tack diver. Fun to shoot. I recommend one if you can find one

I have since added a quick takedown screw (knob) to make it easier to clean after shooting. But I do have a complete gunsmithing  set of screwdriver bits bought special for thus rifle

That's a fine Marlin lever action Chris :cooldude: Good looking, good quality and a straight shooter. I've been trying to arrange a trade with my brother who has property he built his home on, and now can also hunt on his own property. He wants my .44 Carbine for the short barrel in the woods and semi-auto for hunting. I want his Marlin lever action, just because I LOVE them and have plenty of ammo for it. Problem is logistics, he's in Maine and I'm in Florida. Nice score :cooldude:
