Last Friday my wife was driving down to Madison Wisconsin to visit her brother on I-94.  On the way she hit something in the road that blew out both front and rear right tires.  Not that odd, I thought maybe a piece of semi truck break drum, or other important control part....  But when my wife got home she tells me that a friend had the same exact thing happen to her.  Then my sister in law informs us that I-94 near Kalamazoo Michigan was closed down because of several vehicles getting flat tires on a certain stretch of the interstate.

I'm thinking aliens, or maybe bigfoot, either way I'm certain the government is keeping it a secret.

Either way, be careful riding this year.  Our government can't afford to fix the highways anymore.

Bad luck!

Have you seen those black rubber bungees lying in the street?. . . and who hasn't?

My daughter ran over one on the highway and it stuck in her rear tire. The bungee cord whipped around like a string trimmer with a steel hook. It instantly dented everything it could reach. Yeoouch! It even ripped off pieces of her door handle. She said you wouldn't believe the sound!! Oh, and the hook in her tire gave her a flat. Lucky she wasn't on a bike! I just wanted to give everyone something to think about the next time you see "something" lying in the street.

I bet it was Obama's fault... He's trying another round of stimulus, this time for the tire companies, by a tire shredding conspiracy!

Never ask a geek 'Why?',just nod your head and slowly back away...

I had that same exact thing happen to me several years ago...although I got lucky and no damage other than the tire.

I picked up one of those bungie cord S-hooks some years ago in my Yamaha Venture rear tire.

The only good thing about it was that it didn't blow out immediately.  Instead it went down slowly and I was able to exit I-44 without having to stop along the shoulder.  I was able to pull directly into a gas station with an air line available and perform CPR on it.

Back in '91, I had the same thing happen with a wire coat hanger stuck in the left rear tire of my 3 week old Corvette Convertible.  Crazy noise followed by extreme nausea and a significant body shop event.   :'(
