guys are always posting links to sales of Runes that seem RIDICULOUS to us....over on the Rune board. Folks wanting 40, 50, even 60k. Folks saying they have THE serial number ONE. ANd the opposite...overseas scammers selling a Rune for like 5k....you know the bogus drill!  We've even had a few not so scrupulous dealers get accounts on the Rune board...sign on...and list a Rune for sale with bogus info....for ridiculous prices....and sometimes, even with false info due to their own lack of knowledge...go figure. We're quick to "bust em".

bottom line, when you can find em'....you can buy BRAND NEW RUNES IN THE CRATE...at a few dealers that have em' still...for like 15-17k out the door ALL DAY. and used ones, that are in GREAT shape....sell for that or less. Of course, there are still guys that bought one when they were selling for more (i bought two back in the day....and paid MUCH, MUCH more than folks do now  ...but have ZERO regrets)....and now want to sell theirs used....and are asking TOO MUCH. you know, like they paid 24-25k a few years back (which was reasonable back then)...and now, want to sell it used for like 18-20k. that's just TOO much. but i don't blame them.......they're just trying to get back some of their money..........

Eventually when the Rune prices come down below reasonable I'll probably pick one up. I do like it, but I'm to cheap to pay for it. Heck, I wouldn't pay what I paid for my Valk again because now I already have one.

One of the advantages to being broke is that I feel smug about my cheapness.

I really liked the Rune until I saw someone actually riding one. The Valk looks good standing still or in motion. I think the Rune only looks good with the kickstand down. On the other hand... I'd buy that X-Wing in a heartbeat!
