I'd like to know if anyone on here is running the Firestone transforce cv 195/75/16? I'm thinking about running it myself ... but my concern is it might be too tall and rub the underside of the fender. Anyone having problems with that?... thanks.

Considered it a while back but...

I think that tire is even slightly taller than the discontinued Austone Taxi Tires.  Heads up, I did rub the fender a bit when riding two up with Austones, even with Progressive 444 heavy duty 13" shocks.

If you pull the trigger please let us know if they fit!

I believe a member here installed this earlier this year as it stuck with me being a truck tire.

I'm currently running light truck tires on both bikes.  Zeetex CT-1000.  Love 'em!

I am also running Prog 444 13" shocks & Austone tire.  I'm not a lightweight either.  I also tow trailers. A couple variables here that can affect rubbing besides the shock height.  1.  Overall weight on the back.  2.  Which model 444's (or whatever shock brand/model), what height - OEM is 13", shorter can cause rubbing -and what preload setting. I did testing on diff models and arrived at the 4057 which is 13",  has 140/200 springs and I leave them set at max preload.  The spring rating is printed on Progressive coils.  I don't get dragging but rarely ride 2 up, and the trailer tongue weight is less than a co-rider even with the heavy Timeout camper.

That tire is 1.2" >diameter than my 205/65-16. No bueno, probably hit the fender.

I ran a 195/55-16 once but it sat pretty low and affected the kickstand angle. Made it quick off the line.
Only lasted 14k miles, I posted that travail years ago when my splines failed.

Nice... did you have to do the nut cage mod?

I run a 185/75 on mine and yes, it rubbed 2 up.  Did the nut cage mod and "reworked" the wiring a bit to make it work.  Installed 12.5 shocks, run them on 3 with my better half on board and so far no further issues.

BTW, love the CT.

I had to do the "nut cage" on my first tire,  205/65/17.    this tire is narrower so one probably would not have to do the "nut cage".

that's what I was thinking

I would do the nut cage mod even with a standard MC tire.  Much easier to get hex nut started over the insidious square nut in the cage.
Nothing in moderation...

I didn't have to do the  :crazy2: (nutcase) mod for this tire.
