It's been open to everyone forever.

But I guess they are letting you walk where the Old Guard soldier sentinels walk now.  



They will still tell you to shut up if you make a noisy nuisance of yourself.

I would suggest it to anyone who loves this country and especially to those that don't.

I lived in the DC area for a few years, 1969-1975. EVERYONE that came to visit wanted to go to Arlington National Cemetery. I think after all those trips I coulda been a tour guide.  And, yes, those guards walking back and forth by the tomb would YELL at you if you were creating noises, talking etc.

     Been there Once. And That Memory of being There is Still STRONG in my mind. I've mentioned before if you go to Arlington National Cemetery and I'd add Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in Saint Louis Missouri-you Don't Feel the Ghosts or Hear them you may want to check your pulse. Those Military Cemeteries in Springfield and Fort Leonard Wood Missouri I get a Very Simila feeling there also.
      The changing of The Guard at Arlington Should NOT be Missed when there. Thankfully the day my Sister and I were there Respect was Everywhere. I Pray I'll be able to get to Arlington at least one more time. I know-Honor Flight. RIDE SAFE.

I have been there with family and friends a few times.  We took a trip to Maine in 2007 (well it included Canada as well).  On the way back we stopped in D.C. to allow one of our riding family to see the Viet Nam wall.  He served in Viet Nam  and had never seen the wall.  We allowed him to view on his own.  Henry is one heck of a man and ..... well he will always have my support.   

Anyway.....  I made a video of the trip (using still images).  The link to the video in Drop Box is below (and yes I may have posted it before).  Our visit to Arlington starts around 9:18 in the video.  And yes, someone did try and get a little close to take a picture (minute 10:50).  The guard went to Port Arms and the person left the scene.  Changing of the Guard is at 11:18.
