Help with Carb Separation .

Im having trouble separating #1 from #3 and #2 from #4.
#5 and #6 came off fairly easy.
There is a lot of corrosion on the joint bolts but they did come out.
Also a lot of corrsion on the 3 way fuel joints.

Corrosion seems to be the cause of them being super stuck.  I dont want to hit or tap on them any harder than I have for fear of breaking something.

Any suggestion or advice from you would be most welcome>

I think RedEye includes some kind of plastic wedge in his kit. Maybe you could make up some out of some spare plastic or pvc ?

I hadn't thought of doing that, what a great idea.... definitely going to give it a try it !

I just soaked mine in some WD40 penetrating oil. Laid that area on an old towel and doused it with the oil, left it alone for a couple days while working on something else. Almost came apart by hand after that.

I made a few small wedges from an old vinyl/plastic cutting board..... it worked!

Did mine last year. A lot of pb blaster and a lot of tapping with a brass rod.  When they start to separate they will come apart.
