Todays ride from our home near Newberry, SC to Warner Robins, GA.   Started out 52 degrees in SC ended up 86 degrees in GA.

Not much to see on the ride, no curves, no wild animals, but......

There were at least four times that we (and cars behind and in front of us) were passed with a yellow line in our lane.

There was no on coming traffic but the first one was a tractor trailer truck.

I can only believe that this is an indication of lack of enforcement of the law because of what is happening across this country.  Only one car had the license plate of the state we were in.  My fear is that this will lead to a death.  As a rider/driver on the highway, there is nothing I can do to mitigate this.  Just a sign of the times I fear.

Thanks.  I think Britman also recommended that, problem is they close at 4:00 PM.   I guess I could have gone in the morning.  Maybe on the next trip I will think about leaving later than I usually do.

Mapquest says you've got about 420 +/- miles from Hattiesburg, I'll expect to see you and your lovely wife in the PM.  Travel safely.

Todays ride:    Warner Robins, GA to Greenville, AL.... All back or secondary roads and a few sub divisions.

Heavy rain and wind on Wednesday evening had is plan a late as possible departure (you know have to leave the motel room some time).   First video is our view as we hit the road.  Clear, sunny, and cool but.  NO RAIN.   Did have some gusts at times but not as bad as the day before.

Don't forget they are recorded in 1080p but Rumble does the playback (at least on my PC) at 480p and you have to manually select 1080p.

Nice! Serk Jr. and I did the first 200 of our 500 mile run to Hattiesburg today, but it was all superslab... I look forward to when I have the luxury of taking back roads, but for now I have to slam as many miles as possible into as little time as possible, and hard to do triplet digits or near for an extended period on back roads....

(Not dissing! I APPRECIATE YOU SHARING!!!!!!!)

See ya' tomorrow!!!

Todays ride from Greenville, AL to Hattiesburg, MS.  It was all rural until we got to the short trip down the interstate to the Hilton DoubleTree in Hattiesburg.

By rural I mean, gas stations were few and far between.  I should have gassed up when we left Greenville but I decided it would be ok and there would be a gas station on route in time.

Well not really the case but did gas up at a small and very old store near Mount Willing, AL.  Had two old style gas pumps, only one in service.  Gas was $4.99 a gallon.  But it was gas.

It Hattiesburg, MS today.  Took a ride out to the Mississippi Armed Forces Museum today.   Then came back to the hotel.  Had lunch on the way back at the Keg and Barrel Restaurant.

A couple of outside pictures.  No videos.

just what I thought no valkyries only goldwings

Just my bike.  I left my Valkyrie at home because my wife and I can travel long distances better on the wing.  Plenty of real live valkyries here though.  Just the view from our room this PM.

Todays Ride, headed home, same route was we took to Hattiesburg.   We had a timing issue but we could have ridden longer days.  Right now we are happy with 250 to 300 miles per day...
