Yesterday, 4/2, had a good gathering at my daughter's place. Just immediate family of inlaws and outlaws along with cake & ice cream. My daughter asked what I wanted for my birthday, I simply told her "another birthday." I've been blessed in many ways over the years, but have also had some rough times as we all have. We all learn from our mistakes, I've learned a lot...some lessons I really could have done without given a choice. 

Now, I'm hoping for some warmer weather so I can begin prepping the trike for the Inzane trip. The prior owner did nothing to it in the form of preventive maintenance but it still served me well last year on the IZ rally trip and the weeks that followed. It needs fork oil changed, at least 11 yrs. old, I have a new front tire needing mounting so a good time to do both. Next will be replacing the two rear tires, again 11 yrs. old(the trike conversion was done in 2011). While the rear wheels are off I will replace the brake pads and maybe do another brake fluid flush. A friend of mine, Tim Bumstead(Dagwood), lives in Michigan and will catch the ferry across the lake, stay with me one night here then we'll travel to IZ and room together. I think he plans to post our itinerary in case any other riders want to try and hook up as we head west. I miss Florida and the Valkyrie bunch, up here there's not much of anything going on. You ask why I miss Fla.?  It snowed here a couple days ago and yesterday morning...all in less than a week!

Happy belated Birthday John! Wishing you many more. We wish you could spend the cooler months down here in Central Florida also. I had the pleasure of meeting Tim (Dagwood) two weeks ago when he joined the Brooksville Dumpster group for a nice ride around Hernando & Citrus counties, ending up at the first annual Hernando County Bike Fest. Nice guy!

Bob, same with me...glad I can still swing a leg over. I remember you coming by the house a couple times in Winter Park, helping out with something on the bike at the time. I know we don't bend as far and as easy as the years pass, but my plan is to die young...at an old age.
