Wednesday Night Church Security

So Im usually one of two volunteers to be a visible security to help insure everything is safe on campus.

They let me park under a covered entrance so I don't get a wet seat from dew as it gets dark.  The small kids always get a kick out of seeing the bike right there where everyone comes in.

Security at churches is a good idea.  (esp with recent history)

A good idea anywhere there is a group of (nearly always unarmed) people in an enclosed space, with only a couple entrances/exits of mostly unlocked doors.  Captive audience, much like movie theaters and many small businesses.

I'm curious, have you ever had to actively BE security?

We've had a couple minor incidents. None that required armed intervention. But we are trained and ready for anything

Whenever I have my bike in the parking lot, many thought it was the pastors bike at first. When we would ride together a few times I let him ride my Valk. Eventually he could not resist and got a Valkyrie also. Some days there would be 2 Valks at the church parking lot.

On the days I have guard duty, I walk around the parking lot and admire the bikes and think how cool that we could ride them to church. 

Cant do it as often as I would like since the wife wants no part in messing up her outfit or hair, but for those days we have the convertible.

Same type of bags but no they did not come off the Bruce bike.
