Here is the reason we cant make Inzane this year. Complete living room remodel.

Before demolition. We removed the worn out carpet and the gray paneling that my dad installed in the house 40 years ago.

We widened the opening to the hallway and the rest of the house approx 18 Inches. Also prepped the Hallway for new carpet.

Here we are in the process of closing in one of the closets in the Master Bed Room and opening it up to be a coat closet in the living room.

After the Closet door frame is installed.

Drywall is up. Now the tedious job of mudding, sanding and more mudding,sanding.ect.ect.ect.

My very handy neighbor Jack came over and constructed us an Arch for the opening to the Hallway.

After all of the mud and sanding work was done we had a guy come in and do a Spanish Lace on the ceiling, Twila and I painted. The ceiling is white. Walls are a lite gray and all the trim is white. Again my handy neighbor Jake and his Wife Shirley came over and put down a fantastic Bamboo Engineered Hardwood floor. After the floor was done we put up new base molding and the beautiful crown molding all the way around. Using these cool corner blocks so we didn't have to fight with getting the corner angles right.  Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures of that install but here is the finished room reassembled.

I think it turned out great. Better then we had imagined it would. I had a lot of help though. My brother Chris helped with demo. My step son Anthony,my neighbors Jack and Shirley and my buddy Steve for doing the wiring for the Ceiling fan that we installed. (it was much easier for his small stature to get up in the attic to crawl around and install the box). lol..

Really nice work there.   :cooldude:   And thanks for sharing.

Nice to have help from friends and family.   :)

Better you than I.  My solution to an old house is to keep the lights dim.   ;D

Nice work Mark. I especially like that mild arch door. It's hard to get those right but you did it :cooldude:

Well, that's all well and good, but for future planning... InZane should be the priority!! ;)

You can't do much about the length of your life, so focus on the width.

Nice. I see somebody besides me uses those throw away card tables for construction work.  ;)

Thanks Jeff. That's all on Jack. He's a really good carpenter. Like you he's always building something in his garage shop.

Nice renovation, what a difference  :cooldude:  I'm partial to hardwood floors which really finish that room nicely. Hope there's many years of comfortable enjoyment in there.
