I just installed a caliper I found on eBay from seller recycle-shop, which was in used but great condition. Mine had the pin that holds the pads virtually welded in, and I needed to install new pads.
Just wanted you all to know this seller seems reputable.

Thanks. It's hard to find honest people these days.

So who is the reputable seller? Ebay has many many sellers of used parts. I have purchased used and OEM parts from several of them and all have been as advertised. There are many other scrappers on Ebay. Just wondered who you bought from. I assume the caliper worked out?

Thanks, Britman, for emphasizing that; I probably should have highlighted it myself.
The caliper works just fine; bedding in the pads now, so haven't yet tried an 'emergency' stop, but I don't know why that should be different from before.
