My friend had one like that. It did get the bike up to work on buubyou still have a support issue for the rear if you don't have a center stand.

It seemed too rickety for me

Harbor Freight has a better one and it's cheaper. I know someone who has one and they really like it. I almost bought one but don't have room in my garage right now. Too many toys.

For me lifting my girls on the old Craftsman is -- unnerving.  Like balancing an elephant on a toothpick.  I like the looks (and feasible price) of the HF unit.  Couldn't someone with reasonable welding skills fabricate a kickstand pad on that puppy?

This looks to be the Harbor Freight lift , HF has a much better price.  I picked mine up form Harbor Freight for $299. about 12 years ago and it is very stable. I can move it around my shop with ease even with my '98 Tourer on it at max height , it is VERY stable never an issue .  I love the removable plate that lifts out , a big help in  removing the rear wheel.  I would change out the mickey mouse wheel vice for a better unit. I bought a 'Handy' brand wheel vise . I like the hydraulic pump lift better than the pneumatic units, they always seem to have issues with leaks.   Just my experience .

That's a desirable feature.  How much did the Handy vise cost?

Valkorado , The Handy wheel vise was around $120. a few years ago. A super solid vise that holds the Valkyrie very stable. I also use two tie down straps coming off the handle bars .
