Myrtle Beach Polar Plunge Ride...Jan.29-30-31

 I'm planning on headin' out next thursday 1-28 and making my way to the Nebo / Morganton , North Carolina area and leaving from there friday morning 1-29 for Myrtle Beach , South Carolina . As of right now I've got ( 4 ) riders that plan on going and ( 1 ) thats a maybe. This ride will be weather pending but as of now the forecast for next weekend looks rideable.Anyone wanting to join us we'll be staying in Myrtle Beach friday 1-29 and saturday 1-30 and attending " The Polar Plunge " on saturday busting the water is optional     If interested in joining us post back here or e-mail me for plans and place to hook-up.

It's going to be over a 1100 mile round trip ride for me along with costing me two days vacation . To answer your question YES  I plan to bust the Atlantic wide open. Question for northern members will " Shrinkage " be a issue ?

While there is no question that you must have the most understanding wife in the entire world..........

I'm not really sure that I would use the word "trained"..... at least not anywhere that there is a chance that she could know about it.

I feel a bit guilty about hijacking Joe's thread, but it looks like he's communicated what he intended to with it.

I think Joseph and I have something in common.  I love my wife dearly and my life wouldn't be complete without her.  I would lay my life down in a heartbeat for her benefit.  That said, I have little respect for any "man" who refers to his wife as the boss.

Incidentally, I asked Motomama and she said it was okay for me to tell you all this.     No, truthfully, I asked her about the picture Joe posted.  I said to her, "Lori, do you see something wrong with this pic of the girl in the bikini?"

She said, "Yep, it looks like 'she' is sporting a package."   

I'm sure it must be just the camera angle.

I know that it's for a charity Joe...but I wouldn't spend a dime in Myrtle Beach. They have tried to run the bikers out of there for some time now. I used to own a condo there and take my family & friends, go to all the bike weeks....spent tons of money there. No more!  Try not to spend any money inside the city Joe, & be careful on your trip.

Its somewhere to ride Terry    My grand-daughter Presley said her first word in Myrtle Beach after doctors telling us she may never talk so its got a special place in my heart. I doubt we'll join in any events we just dig ridin'.

Do want we are doing run from it...They are claimin' possible ice storm here for friday  thats why we plan on being in Myrtle Beach tomorrow night ( Thursday ). Might be hell gettin' back home but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it

MSHA...I'll be in Statesville,NC Fri. and Sat. for our annual MSHA refresher. I would rather run naked through a patch of briar's....Certification expires on the 30th. so it's gotta be done to be allowed on mine property.

Me thinks you may have so nasty stuff to try to get home in....This snow event is coming from the south and that's when we usually get it good.

Whats the proposed route for the return trip? If this turns out to be a none snow event I could hook up Sunday for the return trip......Maybe show you a more gooder and funner way back.

I'm a bettin' man and I bet we take the fastest way home come Sunday...Hwy.501 , I-20 , I-26, make our way around that rockslide turd hurt on I-40 back into God's Country.

If anyone gets the need to ride we'll be staying ocean front at The Sea Dip 2608 North Ocean Boulevard. Had another weather watcher drop out on us so we are back to ( 3 ) riders.If VRCC member Land Elephant ( Charlie ) had'nt rode all the way from Texas to ride with us I might be a fair weather biker this weekend as well. I was just watching the local news and a ice storm looks very possible for friday evening into saturday morning here just hoping now we'll make it back home on Sunday with decent roads     Oh well we'll be ridin' out at 9:00 in the morning with Myrtle Beach on our mind.
