Blood needed for a child

My friend's niece has been in the hospital since monday of last week. The latest diagnosis is AHA, Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia. She will be needing red blood cells and platelets. If you can, please donate in her name.

There is a donation location at 4949 Sweetwater Blvd in Sugar Land (281-313-1122). Their hours are Mon - Thurs 10 a..m. to 6 p.m., Fri and Sun 8 a.m. to 4 p.m, closed on Sat. There are numerous locations with the main one being 1400 La Concha in Houston (713-791-6608).

You need to eat 30 - 45 minutes before donating.

Another reason to ride.  Hey, I can see it now. 10-20 Valks go to lunch and then rumble up to the donation station together to give blood after having a meal together. Cool!  And, they always give you desert after taking the blood.
