We took off this morning headin' to Pall Mall , Tennessee to check out Alvin C. York his birth place ,home and grave site. Roads was wet when we rolled out however it turned out to be a decent day with high's in the mid 50's. Clink the link to read about Alvin C. York the dude was a true American hero.

First few pictures are from The Big South Fork . I resize all my pictures that I post however the one with Lucky 13 ( Gordon ) doin' the wheelie on his Valkyrie Interstate I left full size ( eat your heart out Killboy )  :cooldude:

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

Check out the Kawasaki Ninja in this photo ...This is the only shot I got of it while it was still all together he went down later in the day on a ol' Kentucky backroad out in the middle of nowhere. The bike had just a touch over 3,000 miles on it. Lance is OK and the bike got him home and is repairable.

We was on some great roads today with nice sweepers and curves in Tennessee and Kentucky. Next few shots are when we stopped to pay respects to Alvin York.

We got off on some backwoods backroads out in the middle of nowhere up in Kentucky we even saw a snake that had been run over on one of these roads we thought it was pretty cool seein' a snake in Jan.Some of you folks that's rode with me will remember " The Road To Nowhere " we did it on " The Fall Color Ride " a couple years ago its outside of Bryson City, North Carolina. Well today we found " The Bridge To Nowhere " out in the middle of Nowhere,Kentucky.

The road that took us to the bridge is also the road Lance went down on the Kawasaki Ninja.

We did right at 300 miles today and 90% of that was all backroads.

Looked like a good ride Joe. Today we had 4 bikes that rode down to Suches and over to Dalonaga, then across Fort Mtn to Chattsworth. When I got within a mile of the house this evening I saw a red-tailed hawk swoop down & pick up a small snake. I'm glad your friend didn't get hurt on the sportbike, he will feel the pain though when he starts replacing the plastic on it $$$$$

Thats the second time that bikes been down in 3,000 miles .He bought it from a co-worker who's ol'lady laided it down on a maiden voyage and got a he!! of a deal on it. He's well aware of what it will cost because he's already paid to have it fixed from her crash  :o

Good post Joe. Many years ago I watched a movie about Sgt. York. I'd like to watch that movie again. It's been so long I've forgotten most of it.

Hey Joe... there's an arched railroad bridge that looks just like that (to me anyhow) near my house,
I drove by it yesterday... here's a picture of it "from space"  ;)
