If you are going to vote the way I would then by all means get out and vote.  If you are poorly informed or erroneously informed than please do the country a favor and stay home; that is don't vote.

In this area they are planning on such a high turnout that I hear Republicans vote next Tuesday and Democrats vote on Wednesday.

Probably going tomorrow . Much as a straight republican ballot would make some happy,  there are some that I would rather not see office ever again (or ever - depending on the person).

Agreed.   But it always puts be me in a quandary.  Not voting for Guy A and writing in "Donald Duck" means Guy B might win.  And Guy B is far worse than Guy A.

The lesser of two evils seems to be the case.......

So, Conservatives, go vote on November 8th.   Others, show up at the polls and do what you do on the 9th.   Everyone should have their voice heard.

I agree completely.  During my lifetime, more of my votes have been for the lesser of evils, than love of the candidate.  It leaves a bad taste in your mouth, but not as bad a taste as as any D winning.  

Writing in or voting for some independent (neither of whom have any chance of winning), is a vote for the D.  This is the practical reality of voting.  

When my party doesn't even run a candidate against the incumbent D, then I write in for the Easter Bunny.

Yes Connie, this is understood but, those states are going to go blue regardless of when the votes were made, sent in or copied.  
Understood but, in those states, the outcome was known before votes were counted.

vote or no vote, cannot wait till over.  I get about 6 per day TEXTS on my phone political BS.  Even had 1 younger lady knock on my door Sunday regarding her opinions with brochures on who to vote for and why.

DW and I voted last Thursday.  Oregon has mail in voting only.  Ballots are mailed to your adress, fill out the ballots, and either put them back in the mail or drop them off at the county courthouse.  We did the latter, had to pay the property taxes.   The envelopes to return the ballots are self-addressed and do not require a stamp. 

Ballots have to be timed stamped Sept 8th or earlier to the opened or have to be dropped off by end of day of the 8th.  Also, supposedly each envelope is checked to see if the signature on the ballot is same as one listed when one registers. 

AND yeah, we voted for the right folks. 

As a side note, My Mom who dies first of Sept 2021, has not received a ballot for last two elections.
