Is a mint condition black and cream interstate now worth $7000 dollars?

The bike has 37000 miles mint the question is it worth it?  I would like some opinions just cant decide on it.

depends on how many accessories/add ons it has on it.  I think if bone stock 6K would be my limit on any I/S tops even if 12K miles.    7K would be at my top limit but if accessorized nicely would be fine.

To me a mint interstate of those miles should be worth the 7K. Sadly that's not what the market provides and listed value is far below (around 4k for average condition). So, higher for "mint" but how much higher is in the eye of the buyer. If I was buying to keep I'd go up to the 6K range.

Any bike is worth to each individual what that individual is willing to pay for it.  If one can find a buyer willing to pay $7000 then it is worth that.

That's a big if.  The real answer is in today's market probably not.

     Should you be SERIOUS about purchasing that I/S go with CASH in yer pocket and start at $5250.00 BUT be prepared to go higher but also be Prepared to walk away! 6K sounds reasonable BUT I already have a nice I/S! RIDE SAFE.

The market is limited to those of us you love the bike.  Everyone else is Harley crazy, it's probably going to sit there a while.  I would contact the seller and tell them if they ever consider lowering the price to contact you.

Mint?   How sure are you about that.   Don't know the seller but, everyone talks up what they are selling.
Unless I knew the bike and how the seller treated it, I'll always wonder.  
There are very few people I have 100% confidence in.

Maintenance records?  Tires, Chrome and accessories?   Lots to consider.   The bike (or anything else) is worth every penny the buyer and seller agree on at that moment.   Personally, I wouldn't pay that much for an Interstate but, that's me.   It's not the best time of year to be selling a motorcycle and the US economy is not the best.   Lots of folks are struggling in this economy.   I'd wait to see if the price drops or, make an offer I thought was fair and see where it goes.   That offer might be rejected but might be accepted in a month from now.   Of course, you run the risk of someone else getting it.   YMMV.

I would certainly say that is a premium price for such a bike.

There is probably a scenario where I'd pay that much.

Obviously, appears to be in mint condition. It starts and runs as new.
And a record of recent work done that would include, new battery, new tires, new vaccum lines, petcock replaced, or serviced with new kit, new brakes, brake lines, pretty much everything servicable serviced or replaced.

This is not an all inclusive list.

Access to parts for these bikes are getting harder and harder to get. Some being unobtainable.
So for 7k, it better be as good as it can be made to be.

The accessories are larger touring windshield, bag rails, driver backrest, top box metal protectors? dont know what to call them trunk rack hiway pegs, and a trailer hitch got some nice accessories, will off 6000 and see where it goes from there

You know what they say "Money talks and BS walks".

Show up with as much cash as you're willing to pay and be prepared to walk if the bike doesn't meet your expectations or the seller won't meet your price.

If you walk over price be sure to keep it friendly and tell the seller that if he changes his mind that the offer still stands.

If it will make you happy to own it, then it's worth it. Especially if you don't have to drive all over the country for it. Just make sure their idea of "Mint" and yours are the same.
You may forget the price, but you won't forget the experiences & memories you make on it.
Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, if you can afford it and it will make your life richer, go for it.
I would still bargain with the seller, but that's just me.

I say yes, BUT, only if it truly is MINT.
For it to be mint, ity must be spotless, he must have proof of all maintenance, including all new fluids, newer brakes, rear end maintenance, newer tires, along with some must have extra's like improved seats, and high vis lighting.

That low of miles, I would say rubber components will be breaking down soon if you start riding it on a regular basis. Check tire date code also. $6000 would be tops but.....

Finding great condition Valkyrie's is getting a little harder.  Seems that prices have started to come back up a little over the last year or so.  These bikes are so great it's hard to believe they aren't worth more.  As long as I've had the funds, I've not walked away from a bike I really wanted if it was a rare find.   I've owned some great looking Valkyries over the years.  I'm more of a GL1800 rider now, but I still think Goldwings look like a 2 door Accord with all the plastic but they sure ride great.
