New Video Camera - Strange Videos

While not directly related to my Valkyrie it is related to my ST1300 and Goldwing.   I have, since I have owned the wing and since 2009 on the ST, used a Contour Roam video camera to capture my rides.

On our ride to the FL panhandle, we had an issue with a very badly maintained railroad crossing that caused my Contour Roam to break loose from its mount.

So, while I have a spare, I wanted a "spare".  Found one on Ebay that met my needs, (same as I had) so I purchased it.  It came in today.  I tired it out and found the battery full charged and it had several videos on the memory card.   The image below is "screen shot" from the video which is linked below (via dropbox) if you want to see the rest of the video.  The date is January 24, 2015.

Just wondered if anyone has a clue if this is real or not.

PS, I am keeping the video card as is, using a spare I had for the other camera.

Didn't watch, just the photo.

Real or training, they teach you not to cover your buddy (or even his foot), with your weapon.

Suppressors are cool.   :cooldude:

I'm guessing airsoft.....

Even suppressed a 5.56 sounds... different...

And no observable smoke or steam coming from the barrel or coming off the can after multiple rapid shots...

Never ask a geek 'Why?',just nod your head and slowly back away...

I did not consider something like "airsoft".  Interesting.  Do not know much about the "round".

I thought I saved the videos but it appears I did not but in at least one of them the camera was mounted to a turret which had one large weapon barrel visible and two smaller ones.  I did hear them being "used" but I do not remember any smoke or steam from the barrels.   Oh well.

Thanks for the suggestion.   Strange things..

I found the files.  The link below shows what looks like a turret with one large weapon and two smaller ones.  They are fired and there is sound and "muzzle flashes from the main gun".

This time it's in an area with snow.   But...

That one is definitely real, airsoft isn't gonna put holes in the ice from that distance...

But the muzzle flash convinces me even more than the first one IS airsoft, since it didn't have the flash...

My guess is some airsoft dude who had his airsoft video as the first one, and got a hold of a real AR to go play with for the 2nd video...

The cadence of fire on the 2nd makes me THINK a binary trigger, but could just be pulling the trigger really quickly or some other rapid fire device...

That is a rifle barrel and a Bi-pod support.
Looks like someone goofing around to me, not hunting or combat or even training.
The first one looks like airsoft style gaming, which can be a lot of fun.
