Short dash about yesterday

The highlight was meeting a young guy on his electric unicycle. He was at the highest point overlook on the BRP. He was planning on "riding" to within 10 miles of Asheville. I forgot to ask him the brand name.

He told me it had a range of 70 miles and the ups and downs didn't rob too much power.

He had a small concave mirror strapped to the back of his left hand to check traffic behind him.

He was all in dark colors including his helmet. i suggested next time he came to the BRP he wear a brighter jacket even though the unicycle had small LED's front and back. I told him other road users get distracted by the views and drift across the center line. He opened the trunk on his car and whipped out a high viz safety vest. Photos embedded in the Relive video.

The unicycle weighs 76 pounds and uses a 300 amp charger so can't be charged as he's driving his car.

And off he zoomed leaning forward quite a bit to achieve max speed across the parking lot.

If I wasn't so old and could still bounce a bit when fallen. 

Afterwards I wondered if one could tow a small trailer with a spare battery pack or 2???
