I was there yesterday, sad to see it close over 300 great bikes.
Mecum auctions will be selling the bikes Sept 6-9
You can watch online.
It was started by John Parham owner of JP Cycles.
They said they could not take in enough money to maintain the museum anymore.
But I did buy t shirt.

I was not aware it was there.  Had to look to see if I had traveled in the area and yes, a couple of times. 

The video is very impressive.  I agree, sad to hear it is closing.

Been there a couple times on the way to JP cycles open house. (Impressive display)
There was talk of them moving it to Florida before John died.

agree,  too bad someone does not buy it and move it to a bigger city vs. where it is now in Iowa in the middle of nowhere.

I visited the museum twice. First time I saw it while riding by.  It was close to the end of the day so I found a motel - which was 10 miles or so up the road.  Spent the next day touring the museum, took a couple hundred pics.  Too bad it's going to be shut down.  There are a number of historically important bikes there.  I get why though - it's pretty much in the middle of nowhere in a small town, albeit within sight of US Hwy 151.  The only reason I saw it while passing, is because I was travelling on yet another blue highway between Franktown & Kenosha - have ridden them all that parallel a direct line, within say 250 miles off the line.
