Last week  we  hit  a  freeze  spell.. 5 d of  the  stove  going.
Lost my11  Sweet tater slips..
Lost  a  bunch of  herbs  that I even covered !
That happens  when  it 24* and  the  ground  is  white.
Covering can't really help when it's that cold  and  a  heavy frost..
I  don't know  what fruit trees  we  might have  lost .
Could  be  all or  some.  We  shall see...
    Been fussing with the  spring . We  are  in an  extream drought.
Just so glad  we  got  that 63" of  snow   over  winter that has  helped  the  deep water .
For  sure .. We   have  gotten 3 ths' of  an inch since  Saturday,And   yesterday.
Yeah I  have  the  gauge  out..


As  for  Dixie , She  hasn't  needed  her  fly  cover  much.. I  don't leave  it on over  night.
Or  in the  rain , or  cold ..LOL .  At least it gives  me  a  good   time  to keep it clean..
I  hand  wash it in flea  n tick shampoo..  just a  nother  little  help..

Big things  get ready to happen on the  farm, this  is  something that has  been almost 2  yrs in the  making ... Lots  of  hoops  and  red tape..  It will be  a  good  thing...

   And gets thjat high alert !
Sure Enough there is a friggen bear right on the other side of the yard fence.
   I stand up , The bear stands up , Guves the look of oh shite , And takes off.
It's that same 2yr old I chased yesterday...
So last night to toss ed a few things that were on the porch...

Detroit, never recorded before!!! Black Bears hanging out

 I was shining a flash light  looking for eyes..

And a mama possum walked by with her baby clinging to her side!

The babe wasn't even as big as my hand !  Cuteness over load for sure

I use a "headlight" to walk around here at night (we don't have any lights either).
Find the cat or the dog instantly instead of them being invisible. The most fun eyes
to look for are the spiders. Look in the grass and you can see their eyes shining out
from everywhere...
