As if being sent to war-torn Somalia in the 90's weren't nerve racking enough, there were also the bugs.   "Sergeant," I called out during our orientation briefing, "is there a problem with scorpions here?"  "No need to worry about scorpions, Captain," he assured me.  "There are enough snakes around to eat most of them."                            Capt.
