DIGGER

I was at my hunting lease couple weeks ago 160 miles away and left some keys there that I need.  Good day for a ride so I headed out on my Valkyrie at 6:30 am this morning.  Got my keys at the lease and headed back and took a detour coming home to go down some scenic country roads and managed to get in a 360 mile day.    Pulled in to my driveway and I was 2 miles short of 120,000 miles so I cranked back up and ran down the street and back and now have 120,002 miles on my Valkyrie.

Around 7:00am this morning I was on a 2 lane windy twisty road out of Bartlett Tx on hyway 487 and topped a small hill and in the ditch was a badly mangled Harley Dresser.   I stopped and felt of the engine and it was cold so it didnt just happen but just for precaution I walked all around the area in high grass looking for a body.    A man in a truck stopped and we did a thurough search in the tall grass.   Nothing but motorcycle parts there so I left.   The man in the truck said he would call it in to the police as soon as he got to the next town and got a signal on his phone.....hope and pray the rider/riders are ok.

f-Stop

Congrats on the 120,002 milestone!   :cooldude:

Kinda creepy to find an abandoned bike in the ditch.  Hopefully, whoever was on that Harley is OK...

Had my blinker on across three states!

Guys who crash out with alcohol (or something) in their system will often walk from the scene and deal with it later (sober).  Maybe not, maybe so.

I did that very thing one cold snowy night in college (car).  I slid into a ditch, couldn't get it out.  Did not want a breath or blood or field sobriety test (beer), so I hiked the mile to my dorm room, and went and got it in the morning.  (no damages or injury)

I locked it, although no one likely wanted my old beater jalopy.   ;D
