Nice looking bike.
I'm thinking you should just go ahead and bite the bullet on this one.
Most of us are gonna die in debt anyway, you might as well join us debtors.

The biggest problem I have with such a bike is the low density of Triumph dealers across the nation.
If something goes wrong (and it always does) when you're a thousand miles away from home, then it might become trailer time.   Triumph doesn't have nearly the density of dealerships for help and parts that Mother Honda has.   This is not intended to suggest anything bad about a Rocket Three, just a concern of mine.  My wrench turning days (although limited when I did attempt) are gone.  Changing oil and batteries is about all I'm interested in now.

While I understand this concern, have you tried to get a Honda dealership to work on a Valkyrie lately?  :tickedoff:

Well, honestly, no. But, part availability is much greater at Honda than at Triumph if you can find a dealership.  I also know a heck of a lot more folks that can work on a Honda Valkyrie. I don't know anyone that has ever worked on a triumph.

Fair enough, especially on the social help network and parts availability, but most Honda dealerships the last few years have implemented a "We won't touch anything 10 years old or older" policy as far as them actually touching the bike...

If I had your money I would buy it and just consider it a throw away bike if it were to go haywire. That said, the big Lexington Motorsports dealer sells Triumps, of course that could change depending on how the wind blows.  :cooldude:

You are correct on the Honda policy of not working on bikes, more than 10 years old. But, I have also witnessed a Honda dealer with that policy that would still help out a stranded Valkyrie rider.

John, if you had my money, you'd be deeper in debt.

I changed spark plugs on my 2005 Rocket III, battery, exhaust to put custom headers on it, tires until I put the car tire on it.  Two plugs per cylinder.  Only thing I ever rode that would push your face back and show your teeth....
