I got home safely from the dragon weir yesterday, but had a little mishap on a gravel road on the way home.  While climbing up a steep section of road, the bike was heading for the ditch, I got it stopped but there was no place to put a foot down and she rolled over and was upside down in about a 2.5 foot ditch.  It took 4 of us to upright it.  Just some scratches to the fairing and windshield and a broken left mirror, so very lucky.  I never hit the ground, just stepped off and let her go.

So if anyone has a mirror available, let me know want you want for it.  I can be reached at 248-729-1169.

I have a mirror. It was used on the right side but these guys are interchangeable right to left. It's not perfect but it's nice.

You can have it for shipping if you like

Wow, I had a bit of panic & flashback while reading this mishap involving gravel  :o sounds like it ended ok, at least no med flight required...

100% on me keeping us on back roads to and from The Great State Of Tennessee on a 400 mile round trip. I knew as soon as I turned on this road this can't be good but I kept going. Sad thing that's not my first brain fart on this trip I keep this up I'll be riding alone☹️ That being said Hubcap and MitchO  would have got a woodie on this road  :D

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

Wow that must have been heart breaking, just to watch your baby. Sounds like things are not to bad though and at least you got off without being pulled into that.

Stopped on the side of the road and the concrete was cracked with one section rising over the other. I didn't notice and stopped the bike right over the crack with the tire all the way to the side of the raised portion and half the tire was unsupported working against me to hold the bike up. Well did everything I could to not let her down and could hold it half way but couldn't raise it on one leg. So I was able to gently lower it down. No real damage but took a minute to recoup and gather my composure to lift the bike back up.

Glad to see you're getting a replacement and YOU don't need anything fixed on yourself!

No one admitted to it (Although I have my suspicions :) ) but after Kali laid my Valk down in Athens Inzane the left side mirror was destroyed, someone snuck a replacement onto the bike in the parking lot for us.... (Thanks again mystery Valk repair person!)

It even had the "Objects in mirror tend to disappear quickly" upgrade on it!

Never ask a geek 'Why?',just nod your head and slowly back away...

One of my Interstates came with either Yamaha or Emgo knockoff oval mirrors which work very well.

Almost no other mirror has the wide reach of the Valk rectangle OE mirrors, but these ovals go just about straight up from the mounts on short stems, and for this 5'9" rider they work great.

Something like this.

Thanks Tracy.  Yes, they look completely different upside down,  I hope I never see one (especially one of mine) that way again.
