In shop. Pulled the right rear plug. Checked three different ways.  Book on order. He drove it recently. Now , no start. This is the first 1800 I have worked on.  Any ideas. I just did a pulse generator issue on a Wing trike.  Once I have a wiring diagram , I can start testing.

if you keep the key on and watch the check engine light after you jump the two wire plug under the seat, it should flash with the codes that tell you the problem. I would bet its a crank position sensor, I had to replace mine it was not hard and right behind the front cover.

Dont really need a manual most info is on line and easy to get.

Page 87 is the codes when you get the light to blink

This is the Gold Wing but the Valks are similar.

Just remembered also make sure one side of the ignition coils has power other wise it could be a fuse or the engine stop switch.

Mine would not turn over so I traced the problem down to the stop switch. I bypassed it, and found that Honda did skimp in one area of these bikes the switches on the handle bars have to be the cheapest switches I have ever seen. Put some good anti corrosion spray on them to keep them in working order.

If you look above the front cover the ignition coil is right behind the upper cover. Take the plastic retainers out and you can access the coil easy and continuity test it to see if it has power. But if the dash lights do go on pretty much they are ok since its the same power line to both.
