Turns out I've been mispronouncing my last name  all these years as LaGary
The physician treating me last year spoke several languages informed me the gg is soft

Talked with the motel yesterday Robbinsville and all area roads has no damage. Gas , restaurant's etc. all good. Now we just need a nice weekend..

Ida know... other than a few hours of pounding on hurricane night, we still haven't
had a drop of rain. The kid next door's YZ250 keeps the afternoon air filled with
South Carolina red dust for a square mile... come on rain  ...

None of the map software will let me go that way into Robbinsville.

Maps.google.com shows the road closed just North of the Deals Gap store/motel until Oct 31.  That is at 7:30 a.m. Central time this morning.  I can't get the web cams to load here at work, but there are cars at the store earlier this morning.

Maps.google.com shows the road closed just North of the Deals Gap store/motel until Oct 31.  That is at 7:30 a.m. Central time this morning.  I can't get the web cams to load here at work, but there are cars at the store earlier this morning.

The google maps and other application are showing US129 closures to deter the semi-truck traffic from attempting to take the route. It is open to vehicles. After the floods, multitude of truck traffic started appearing on mountain roads between NC and TN borders to bypass I40 and I26 being shutdown.

I didn't think about webcams.

They are showing a fair amount of traffic at the store, so we should be good.
