no thanks,  have fired dozen of times 6 shells,  pump action shotgun 12 gauge slugs , in a row and that was enough recoil for me, bruising my shoulder a tad.

When shooting hard recoiling long guns (like a 12 gauge), you put the buttstock just inside the shoulder joint on your chest peck muscle.  It's not as intuitive or naturally comfortable as the shoulder joint, but can save a lot of pain or even injury to that joint.

This is why I like aftermarket pistol grip buttstocks on my riot shotguns; you take a lot of recoil off your shoulder into your right hand.  They also let you take a man under arms one handed (for awhile). 

I also have two different shoulder pads designed to protect the shoulder, but they're only good for the range and practice.
