No OSS, I went to a car meet tonight in the Cobra car. Wind on the upper body is about like the Valkyrie with the barn door windshield. 48 degrees was just about cold enough for me. It was a 40 minute drive and I was not uncomfortable but have to admit I was happy to reach home. Not interested in 10 degrees

I worked a block behind the Whitehouse for 18 years.  From the day of my retirement (14 years, 17 days ago), I've never set foot in the District again, for any purpose (and this is the best one I can think of).  As much as I'd like to go down there and fly the flag in my old camo fatigue jacket with all Strategic Air Command insignia still on it and captain bars hat, I won't be doing it.

Local weather says Sunday we get 1-3 more inches of snow (marvelous), and Monday (Inauguration Day) high 25, low 9, sunny and windy, and the DC concrete canyons make wind extra nasty.

Indoors also makes it harder for a sniper.

It would also be very nice if we don't get any raving loony lefties acting up and causing trouble.   That's what those 4 foot batons are for.

I don't know who gets to make that decision (probably DC Govt), but it could also be they don't want to televise the huge numbers of rejoicing, deliriously happy DJT supporters that might show up anyway.

It's 20-something (with nasty wind chill) here too Jeff, and I just went out and put up my second flag.   

All my walks are covered with very slippery ice, but I did it anyway.
