Fuel Tank Liner

Hello, I am in the middle of the powder coat process and all I have left is the tank and fenders. I wanted to know what material the tank liner is, since the tank will be baked to about 450F I need to know if that liner will smoke and melt during that process. If the liner melts away while baking the powder the powder will be ruined and I will need to restart

I don't believe that the tank has a "liner".  I have seen rust in some tanks that leads me to believe that there is no liner.
Unless, yours has had rust in it before and someone lined it after removing the rust?

I haven't looked inside with a boroscope, but my petcock filter has definitely seen rust. When I look in the top though I only see clean metal. I guess I can put the tank in the oven for a bit without powder and see if the inside cracks away. From what I read elsewhere, tank liners would typically either survive the process or turn to ash so it should be easy to see

Will smoke and maybe much more due minute fuel in a welded tank crevices creating more of a chance of vapor in such a compact fuel tank @ 450 degree. Me personally, not a good idea. Weld/heat process on bike tanks has been a taboo for along time. Does the powder coater feels it safe?

Paint is not an option here. I've done so much prep and other work, the fenders are getting powder, forks and steering stem are already powdered, plus the paint just won't match no matter how hard I try. The powdercoater will do it, he just wanted to know if the oven would destroy it or not. I already lit the remaining fuel in the tank which left a fire burning inside. I might just get a gallon of muriatic acid to remove any remaining coating
