Final Drive

Took off the tire to change it and the final drive doesn't look very good.
Partzilla has the Flange Set Final Drive but not the gear set Final.
Partzilla Section "Final Drive Gear" #6 Gear Set Final - Not available.
Partzilla Section "Rear Wheel" #8 Flange Set, Final Drive $305.57

Need Parts, any help would be appreciated.  Will be looking on line.

I don't recall the specifics but those parts from a used Gold Wing 1500 rear end are a lot cheaper. They have to be pressed out and into your Valk housing. Someone should pick up and expand on this. I've done it but its been years since.

Check RonAyers on the rear wheel parts. They are consistantly cheaper over Partzilla.

Those splines show a little wear but they will clean up and if you properly grease and assemble they should last years. I've seen way worse still being used.

Thanks for the feed back, I wasn't sure if I should use them.  I will take your advice and clean and grease them, I grease it when I changed my tire last, and went 14K miles, and it was dry when I pulled it apart.
I used Loctite LB-8012 Moly Paste.   I'm thinking of still getting parts so I will have when I need them.

If it was that dry in 14k mikes you didn't put enough grease in there. Use that moly paste on the flange sparingly but a generous amount of waterproof grease packed in the female splines of the drive.

I would definitely watch the video and replace the 3 o-rings and torque every thing in the right order. It all makes a big difference. We'll maintained these bikes are bulletproof.
