Here in Canada I have to store my 97 Valk sometimes 50/50 of the year yet....

Every Spring with one quick jab of the starter she fires right up as if I rode it yesterday.
With 6 carbs?! I haven't had to touch them in 20 years.

I own 3 bikes and still freak over the looks & performance of the Valk.
I can't get past one year with my Gl 1000 where I don't hafta pull the carbs apart
again, even after draining them dry for storage.

My Kawasaki Z900RS is a fine machine but...

this u should never do, only way to actually have the carbs fully dry is by dropping the bowls.
Always have Sta-bil Storage in the fuel and leave the fuel full for storage. make sure the treated fuel gets into the carbs.

Pretty much the same scenario with my Valk but at 51,000 mi. Seafoamed the carbs in the beginning, replaced manifold o'rings and the rear #6204 bearing. Presently doing the brake systems with new lines, etc. Had to hit the start button 2x this years startup.

OEM o-rings don't like the chemicals in seafoam. expect one day a rebuild will be needed. your dime.

your lucky since chemical charts don't lie. also the low temp solvents in SF solidify on the back of the hot valves, reducing flow, decreasing HP and MPG.
