This sucks a Motorcycle dealer's bikes and parts being auctioned off next weekend.

whats the reason for the auction?  guy just got sick of running the business and couldn't find anyone to buy it out right?  death in the family?  over extended inventory and the bank wants their money?  it might seem sad to us, but you never know the whole story unless you're there.

i'm busy that weekend anyway......

This area has lost ( 3 ) motorcycle dealership's in less than 2 years. One of those I figuered would be the last man standing as it was in business for many years in fact it's where I bought my Suzuki Bandit 1200S. Sign of the times and I think it's only going to get much worse  :(

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

Well here are a few of the reasons:
Mommy & Daddy bought son a motorcycle store that he had no ideal on how to run. He treated his employees like crap, and all the good ones left. Treated customers the same way. (had a 3 tier system: 1-warranty got done right away, 2-if you bought bike from them, you were next in line, and 3- people off the street.) I was supposed to be in class 2, had a bad u-joint. I bought the u-joint, had it in hand and called to bring in. Took them a week to even start on it. Another time needed a rear tire, called to see about getting it replaced, told "maybe a week they could fix it. Needless to say called another dealer I go to said bring it on in- fixed that day.
I'm sorry to see it go as I need to go 30 miles for parts and repairs that I can't do, but he did it to himself.
Hopefully one of his remaining good employees will be able to re-open it after auction is over.

Just hate to see a dealer close.

We just lost our 5 star power dealer in Tucson.
Now I have to ride 30 or so also. Real good customer service, very knowledgable staff and reasonable prices.
Sad to see em go. The parts manager said its the economy that got em.
I guess they arent part of the 2 million jobs that were saved.
Yup, kinda bitter.
Aot of guys with burn marks, gnarly scars and funny twitches ask why I spend so much on safety gear

Look on the bright, you have to ride 30 miles to visit the dealer!

We lost a big fancy honda dealer in Springfield, MO too. I went in there last year and I was like "damn, that's a nice showroom floor" but they had a reputation for terrible customer service and I know some guys who bought their bikes there who were basically refused warranty service...

I think it should be a CLEAR sign to the remaining dealers. We have other choices, and we WILL vote with our wallets.
