Seat release plate and key latch mechanism

I had a broken center section plate where the key goes in to unlock and remove the seat. I took the key latch mechanism out and changed the center plate. I'm having a heck of a time getting the seat release tab back into the plastic keeper part of the key latch mechanism. Does anyone have a picture or video of how to get that tab back in there? Thanks.
