I can't believe it, we are really falling behind not posting things at all.

We are still meeting up for our Valhalla 2025 Rally, same place @ Johnny's Motel in Grand Forks, Sept 4-7.

I have heard from the Spokane group, and they are showing up. Some from WA aren't making it, and some others of the usual I hope still will be there.

I will be there, but it seems that my riding may be over permanently, as my knee has been giving me a lot of trouble, and the last thing I can do is drop the bike with my wife on the back. For safety, long rides look like I'm done with. Now just need to decide if I'll come in comfort or style. In 2015 was it, I came to Soap Lake in my 95' BMW convertible, and this time it might be my newer 02' one instead.

Tess will be with me.

I haven't contacted Johnny's to see how many reservations are made and still there.

I hope to see a bunch of regulars again.

You should look up Dusty over on the Rock. Also Ken over in Port Angeles the south way.

Sorry, I didn't have it posted earlier. Hopefully next year. The weekend after Labour Day, we've extended from the Thursday to Sunday.

Most of the guys use Facebook now. But I'll never touch it. I've actually only ridden the once to last years Rally over the last 2 years, and my 99' is now a collector with that reduced insurance cost.

back home now - 2500k in 2.5 days - too old for this crap LOL - bike was misrepresented so 3 days on bald tires and very questionable braking was not much fun at all - we'll bring her back though Wink

Is Dusty listed as Dusty on the forum?  (edited - found him)

There is the motel next door, Riverside Court, which shares the same driveway.

Try there. Also there are others in town, only minutes away, it's a small place.

A little late but here we go.

Another good year for the Rally meetup. A lot smaller than we're used to, but anytime with good people is a nice meet.

Lyle BC, Peter SK, Elliot AB, Mike BC, Gordon BC, Steve BC, Clint BC, Dave WA, Dusty BC, Cal WA, Ingrid WA, Jay WA, Sam WA, Jan BC

and our riding partners

Myla WA, Tess BC, Lisa BC, Ingrid WA, Margaret BC, Linda WA

Our usual sit around the fire. Fired it up during our Sat evening meet and gift exchange. Always a hoot.

We had a new rider in from Saskatchewan, Peter. I believe Elliot mentioned this was his second meetup, a ride in from Calgary AB.

There wasn't muck motorcycle riding this year, I for one drove up in the car. But we had our great meetup over at Lyle's place for coffee, and even thou Sandra was away, it was very kind of her to do her usual set up of home baked goodies to go along with the brew. Thank you Sandra.

It was discovered that someone had their cords showing on their rear tire. But with Lyle around, and the help of about 11 other riders, that tire got replaced in a record time of close to 4 hours. Rather than the usual 2 hours it takes Lyle to do it all by himself.

While most of us were doing that, Steve and Cal drove over to the annual car show in Nelson, enjoying the ride in Steve's own special hot roded Soltice twin turbo. Any pictures Steve, from the show or of you car?

We had a low hazel overhead from the fire smoke, a little cooler come the weekend, it was comfortable. The on Sun morning that was a thunderstorm rolled thru, and with it about a nice 1 hr downpour.

Hope to see you all there again next year. Safe riding.
