Neutral Light

Any one have any idea as to why its so hard to find neutral and have the light come on.  Seems like the more the mileage on the bike, the harder it is to find neutral with the light coming on.

Same here. I just go ahead and squeeze the clutch lever to start even though I KNOW it's in neutral.

The odd offset in the shifter makes it wobble, unless you've added one of the supports available. Even with support, I sometimes have issues with it.

Also, make sure the fluid is fresh and no bubbles in it.

I get neutral from first (but almost impossible from 2d).

With my kick shifter (heel-toe), it's just the gentlest nudge with my heel.  Any kind of a kick and it goes to 2d.

But I always get the light when I hit neutral, that's never been a problem.

Adding the shifter buddy (if there's any left) make a big difference, it will also help to save the seal. The knock offs don't work as well. I can find neutral pretty easily but light doesn't always come on once hot. The switch is too hard to get to, so I'm not going to worry about it for now.

It's  just on the rare occasion I want the bike to run with the kickstand down and clutch released.....just have to have the light on...
