Canadian Icefields Road Trip (Day 13 – Part 2)

Day 13 – 6/30/09 (Part 2) --- 121 miles (Banff, Alberta to the Columbia Icefield Center via the Icefields Parkway)
50 at 7 AM --- 60 in the evening

We rode over Bow Summit and hiked up to Peyto Lake.  Wildflowers everywhere.  We were rewarded with spectacular views of Peyto Lake, Mount Patterson, Peyto Peak, and Peyto Glacier.

Here is a link to a map of the Icefields Parkway.  This part of the trip goes from kilometer marker 37 to about kilometer marker 48.
