Ice

Ice, not I.C.E.     19 deg at the house. Was 16 in Brookville.   Colder than last night.  Anyway, 13/16"  ice in bird bath. Bad night for citrus growers.  I've one grove heater.  Hamlins are saved, I think,  red navels, doesn't look good.   Warmer in Janesville wisc than here.  Yikes!

Yes, sad news for citrus growers and us as consumers.  The freeze in 2021 killed most all citrus trees here in the Houston area.  It was below 20F for 3 days straight.

Yup, as a ham radio operator, I know all about the 11 year Schwabe (sp?) cycle of solar winds.  When the sun spot numbers are high in this 11 year cycle, Ionosphere radio wave propagation is enhanced, making it easier to communicate world wide.
